Centre Wellington Mobile Market presents The Food Rescue Picnic - a day for our community to come together to learn about sustainable food practices, food literacy and the importance of a circular food economy.
From live music, family fun activities to food trucks, a beer garden and Harmony Meadows Alpacas, we have something for everyone to enjoy!
We will be offering a free accessible shuttle to and from The Skol House into Fergus and Elora. Check back for pick-up locations and schedules.
Please choose the ticket that suits you best; we want everyone in our community to join!
Tickets are valid for entry, activities and music.
No outside food or drink.
Kids 12 and under are free.

Centre Wellington Mobile Market
Centre Wellington Mobile Market is a food rescue/security organization renting the kitchen at Melville United Church in Fergus. We rescue food from distributors that would otherwise go to the landfill and repurpose it into individually packaged meals and grocery boxes for households in Centre Wellington struggling with food insecurity.
On average, we support 60 households each week that cannot secure enough nutritious meals to last them through the week. We have two methods for our clients to access these meals; we both deliver meals to clients and offer pop-up markets in neighbourhoods where we have found the most significant demand throughout Centre Wellington. Now, we are the second largest food support in CW - next to the Food Bank.
