Opening Reception

Date & Time: Thu Sep 28, 2023, 7-9p PT

Venue: 1396 Cartwright St, Vancouver, BC, V6H 3R8

Following the reading, an opening reception will be hosted at the CCBC Gallery, across from the Carousel Theatre, with the artist and guests.

Join us for the opening of Phase Transitions, a solo exhibition by Jenny Judge. During the opening, the artist will read from her essay contribution to the anthology "Sharp Notions - Essays from the Stitching Life" at the Carousel Theatre. After the reading, the opening reception will take place at the CCBC Gallery.

Phase Transitions references the physical shifting of material from one phase to another; Judge uses this concept to drip wet paint that transitions and solidifies on its downward journey along a thread. The paint covers objects and creates new forms while the original becomes less recognizable.

*Doors close at 6:20pm and there will be no late admissions. The author will be recorded during this session, so we ask you to please arrive before 6:20pm to find your seat.
