À propos

Author Sara General joins us at the museum for a special reading of her children's book, We Give Our Thanks. Come out for the book reading, free craft activities and fun related to the new Art Installation in the Window Gallery space designed by General.

We Give Our Thanks is an illustrated children’s book inspired by our inherent rights and the Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address. Through colourful pictures and lyrical text, the book celebrates how gratitude brings us closer to all of our relations, including the land, the waters, the medicines, and other beings in the natural world.

Odadrihonyanisoh (Sara General) belongs to the Turtle Clan and the Mohawk Nation. She lives in the community of Six Nations by the Grand River on Turtle Island with her husband and three children. She is a writer, an artist, a language learner and a researcher.
