It’s Worth the Drive for a Doors Open Walking Tour!

This fall, experience the rich history of Acton in this expansive downtown walking tour. Visit beautiful historic homes and buildings and learn about Acton’s early days and residents. Most of the sites date from yesteryear, but Acton also boasts some state of the art building design. Don’t miss the delightful new ‘green’ library which is decidedly 21st century.

While many buildings are closed this year, visitors can admire the design and craftsmanship of the building exteriors and safely visit downtown businesses that adhere to current safety guidelines, so don’t forget to stop for some refreshments along the way.

This tour is presented by the Halton Hills Doors Open Committee in collaboration with the Discover the Hills tour program, presented by the Town of Halton Hills. Doors Open is an annual event that takes place within Halton Hills and throughout many communities across the province. Doors Open allows visitors access to unique cultural spaces. To meet the current safety regulations, this is an outdoor tour. Discover the Hills is a new self-guided interpretive tour program that showcases the Town of Halton Hills’ rich and diverse arts, culture, heritage and natural assets.
