Georgetown Pipeband
The Georgetown Pipeband (originally the Georgetown Girl's Pipeband), began in 1942 and has been teaching, entertaining and competing continuously since then. It is our mandate to continue the rich traditions of teaching and preforming Scottish Pipeband music in Georgetown and beyond. Over the years the band has preformed locally, across Ontario, Quebec, the USA and even Scotland. We are proud to be a competition Pipeband, requiring us to maintain a high level of tuition and preformance. We continue to practice and teach piping and drumming every Thursday at Cedervale Park Gymnasium. Please come and join us at the Georgetown Farmers Market on Saturday September 26th from 11:00-11:30 AM. Enjoy the prefromance, ask questions and learn about our teaching program. If you are unable to make it, please visit our website at georgetownpipeband.ca
