Winnipeg Early Music Society
The Winnipeg Early Music Society (WEMS) is an association for people of all ages interested in music from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras. Members meet to play or sing music in ensemble settings and informal reading sessions. We also learn about early music through workshops, which have in the past included ensemble coaching, master classes with visiting artists, and tapping into the expertise of fellow-members. Members are invited to perform at our Annual Recital and other venues. WEMS keeps members informed of early music events in Winnipeg through its newsletter, website, facebook page and notices.
