Directions: Take Hwy 37 *(36 kms) South of Shaunavon OR (15 minutes North of Climax) WATCH for VALLEY VIEW CAMP SIGN & Saskatchewan Flag at Hwy 37. *DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE to Camp is on a HILL, on SW side of Hwy 37 near Valley View Bible Camp SIGN! (not far from the bridge). Watch for FLAG! Note: Events will be held inside & outside. *Please dress for the weather. *There is NO CELL PHONE SERVICE in this valley, but cell service is available above the valley.

Join Knowledge Keeper Clarence Oake’s informal talking circle about Nekaneet Plains Cree Culture. Nekaneet’s tenacity retained their ancestral lands in the Cypress Hills. Learn stories of Nekaneet’s ceremonies, traditional teachings, history, songs and medicines that keeps Nekaneet culture thriving. Clarence will also touch on aspects of Treaty 4 and will begin with opening prayer and an offering of sweet grass for healing, harmony and reconciliation for this Sept 30th gathering.

Knowledge Keeper Clarence Oakes from “Nekaneet First Nation” on Treaty 4 Territory continues to transmit the knowledge of his ancestors and has been invited to share Nekaneet teachings with students and schools in communities of Gull Lake, Consul, Climax and Fox Valley.
