À propos
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is held annually on September 30 in order to raise awareness about the destructive legacy of Residential Schools in Canada.
Join us in observing this day on Sunday, September 29 with a Walk for Reconciliation from Civic Park to Westminster Hall. Tea and bannock will be served at 2:30pm, followed by remarks by one of Saskatchewan’s most accomplished poets, Louise Bernice Halfe.
Louise, whose Cree name is Sky Dancer, is both a former Saskatchewan Poet Laureate and a Parliamentary Poet Laureate. A Saskatchewan Book Award winner, published author, and trained social worker, Sky Dancer is a brilliant writer and captivating speaker.
