À propos
Get Creative with Oceanside History!
This fall, help us create a one-of-a-kind portrait slideshow—featuring you!
Your colourful creation will be part of a special community event celebrating Oceanside’s past and present.
Here’s how it works:
Email or drop by with a photo of yourself—from any age or era—and we’ll turn it into a black-and-white printout for you to colour at one of our fun, relaxed colouring sessions, complete with simple project guidelines.
Prefer not to use your own photo? No problem! We can provide a historical photo from our archives so you can still join the fun.
This activity is free and open to all ages! Families, friends, and groups are all welcome to take part.
Pre-registration is required so we can prep your photo and supplies in advance.
Your finished artwork will be scanned, your original drawing returned to you,
and we’ll make sure you’re the first to know when the final slideshow is revealed!
To participate, register for one of these session:
Session #2 Sunday September 21, 2pm to 4pm***
Session #3 Sunday September 28, 12pm to 2pm
More sessions may be added in early October
***September 21st: Come to our Teenie Tiny Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our Pollinator Hotel & Gardens from 12-1, then stick around to participate in the colouring session! A great afternoon at the Parksville Museum!
