À propos

FREE! Wall genealogy tree (pedigree chart) and research assistance filling it out.

We have three themed events for you to come out and learn more about your family history in Manitoba and beyond. Please know that young or old, individually or with a family member, you are welcome to visit on any of our three days.

Genealogy is often an adult pastime, but we welcome parents and grandparents to bring a child to come fill out a family tree chart with them on any of our three days.

You will get:

* one free pedigree chart per family group

* free research assistance by our volunteer members

*free access to our online databases and resource library holdings

We ask all visitors to book a time when they are planning to come to the MGS Library Resource Centre. We are currently limited to 5 family groups at a time and ask that you limit your visit to 2 hours. This will allow our volunteers to better assist you in finding out more about your family tree.

Although our events are free, we ask you to register on Eventbrite.

Our Culture Days events take place from 10 am to 2 pm on Sept 24, Oct 1 and Oct 8.

All are welcome- individually or as a family group on any of the three days.

If you just want to drop in to see what we are about, you are welcome to drop in and look through our resources. We cannot guarantee drop-ins a pedigree chart or research assistance, but you are very welcome to visit us and we will give you a tour of our resource centre.
