À propos

“I Remember A Time” is an immersive and interactive A/V experience which delves into the mind and memories of a Filipino grandma reflecting back on sentimental, heartfelt moments throughout her life. Through her memories, we dive into pockets and passages of time, re-discovering emotions and connections she’s experienced throughout her lifetime. As her journey unfolds, we’re granted a glimpse into her mind infused with nostalgia and a moment of self-reflection, reembarking on a heartfelt, melancholic story.

Alyssa Capulong is Filipina-Canadian artist with the focus on bringing communities together through storytelling, in the form of production design and engagement. She is dedicated to create a voice to the people and community of Winnipeg, with a mission to inspire and connect the people of our city one voice at a time. Her work allows you to engage and explore through your own narrative and emotions in the form of art. She believes we all have a way of living, loving, thinking, and evolving and she is passionate about giving a voice and a platform to the people of our city to inspire and connect through their own personal experience.

In collaboration with Nathan Flores/ Nayden, a Filipino-Canadian artist and filmmaker based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, both artists work together to curate interactive A/V based art and installations through their artistic-mediums and storytelling. Nathan's work explores a deep connection to memory, connecting to the audience on an emotional and spiritual level. With a deep interest in themes of time, memory, nostalgia, emotion, and nature, he hopes to indulge others in emotional cinematic stories which can also be a mirror of their own personal experiences.

Together they create interactive visual art through storytelling. Through an immersive combination of intricate story-based set design, thoughtfully designed lighting and videos projected onto different screens, attendees are transported into distinct moments in their lifetime. Their goal is to engage their viewers and attendees to connect to art through memories and emotions at a profound level. Attendees are prompted to dive deep into their own personal narratives, exploring concepts through our human journey connected to memory, nostalgia, love and loss.
