Thunder Bay Art Gallery

As the largest public art gallery in Northern Ontario, the Thunder Bay Art Gallery is a leader in the exhibition and collection of visual arts. … reaches over 5,000 school age children through in person curriculum linked tours and hands-on learning opportunities.

… engages over 2,500 students in the region and beyond through a virtual school tour program.

… documents and records our culture, with over 1,600 works of art forming one of the most extensive collections of contemporary Indigenous and regional art held in trust for the community.

… expands the influence of artists, by loaning artwork to other museums and galleries around the world including the National Gallery of Canada and the Smithsonian Institute.

… welcomes over 20,000 visitors each year including residents, national and international tourists.

… hosts artist talks, lectures, demonstrations, and outreach sessions including hybrid livestreamed events.
