Have you ever visited the forest at night to chase the fireflies and see things glow in the dark?

Natural dyer and textile artist, ash alberg, has partnered with fellow plant lovers, Northlore Goods, to bring a new way of experiencing plants and colour to Winnipeg's Nuit Blanche 2025. Swing by Northlore before dark to see the installation in daylight, and then come back after sunset to experience it anew under UV black lights! Be amazed by the ways that natural dyes glow and change colour, and party with the plants like you partied at Wheelies back in middle school.

ash alberg is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in textiles and trained in both classical and devised physical theatre. They are a storyteller and maker of worlds, taking frequent inspiration from folklore and fairy tales. Whether they are creating patterns for a book, an interactive installation, or collaborating with fellow artists and makers to craft something completely unique, ash keeps passion and sustainability at the core of their practice.
