À propos

Join us for an afternoon celebrating Indigenous art. Meet local Indigenous artists Xwalacktun, Splash (Aaron Moody), Yul Baker, and Klatle-Bhi, and chat with them about their work.

The "Reflecting on Home" exhibition seeks to honour the history of the land upon which the Ferry Building Gallery stands – the ancestral and unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Nation) who have safeguarded these lands since time immemorial.

Organisateur

Ferry Building Gallery

The Ferry Building Gallery is a public community art gallery operated by the District of West Vancouver located in the heart of Ambleside at Ambleside Landing. Situated in one of West Vancouver’s original buildings, the gallery serves as a hub for arts and culture. It presents up to 14 exhibitions annually and promotes art education and appreciation through a wide range of events and programs.

The gallery is open and accessible to all and is a place for the community to experience and celebrate the arts. It supports the development of emerging and mid-career artists from the North Shore, the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, and the Sunshine Coast. The gallery provides valuable, enriching artist-led experiences for the community by presenting exhibitions, lectures, tours and programs which reflect the cultural diversity of the North Shore.
