À propos
Barb Tate is a Milton-based oil painter and avid gardener who finds endless inspiration in the charm of local heritage homes, vibrant gardens, and the stunning conservation areas that surround Halton.
Monica Burnside is an artist whose work ranges from plein air paintings created in every season to expressive, concept-driven pieces on canvas. Born in Cologne, Germany, and raised in Canada, she has lived in Toronto, Bramalea, Milton, and now calls Georgetown home.
Barbara Chapman is an artist and teacher based in Oakville’s Bronte area, whose work is deeply influenced by her East Coast roots, coastal landscapes, and the beauty of Canadian forests. Her art is featured in homes and galleries across Canada, the UK, and the US.
Anne-Ellice Pascoe has been creating stained glass pieces for six years and is an active member of FASM, serving on the Board and helping coordinate the Studio Art Tour. Passionate about the value of creativity, she encourages others to explore art as a way to relax the mind and ease the stresses of daily life.
Mike Balcain is an artist inspired by The Group of Seven—particularly Tom Thomson—as well as the Impressionists, while continuing to develop his own unique vision and palette. His paintings have been featured in the Oakville Art Society shows in 2023 and 2024, the Juried Show in 2025, and FASM’s Heart to Hand Show in both 2024 and 2025.
Kathleen Bignell, born in Laval, Quebec, has carried her love of nature and art since childhood. After a 30-year teaching career, she has returned to her creative roots, combining her passion for art, travel, and nature from her home in Acton and at the Norval Studios and Gallery.
