À propos
Are you interested in supporting immigrant women in leadership? Then come on out (virtually) to our upcoming celebration for the graduates of Newcomer Women's Services’ Sister2Sister leadership program on October 1st, 2020 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm (ET).
Highlights of the evening include...
KEYNOTE: Get inspired by the keynote address from Gina Cody, an incredible female leader who is the first woman in the world to have an engineering faculty in her name.
PERFORMANCE: Speak up and try out strategies for social change through a special performance of “Ending the Silence,” a presentation created with Sister2Sister participants and Mixed Company Theatre. The work explores patriarchy, power and emancipation through Forum Theatre, which means the audience is invited to step on to the virtual stage to try out strategies for positive change, thereby catalyzing discussion, dialogue and action. If you have never experienced Forum Theatre, it's an inspiring and thought-provoking experience.
Oh, and there's a raffle too!
TICKETS: Tickets can be purchased on a sliding scale, based on your capacity to give. Any ticket purchased will be treated as a donation and be divided 50/50 between NEW and MCT to support the women leadership advocacy work being done at both agencies.
Ticket Scale:
$0-$50
