À propos
Historical Harmonies is a vocal duet group specializing in acapella historical vocal pieces, which are performed in period costume. The duo consists of a professional archivist who researches the pieces and a trained soprano who oversees accurate musical interpretation. While often found singing material from several time periods, at this event, the group will be performing music from the Regency era, that is, songs that would have delighted Jane Austen, George III, and many soldiers in the War of 1812.
Now in its tenth season, Historical Harmonies has performed at heritage sites across Ontario, including Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Doon Heritage Village, Westfield Pioneer Village, Schneider Haus, Longwoods Conservation Area, Fort George, Fort Erie, Fort Willow, Backus-Page House, Bradley House, Battlefield House, Backus-Mills Historic Site and Discovery Harbour.
