À propos
In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of mixing music by taking two songs to engage the beats per minute (bpm) which they will learn allows for smooth transition between songs.
Chad shares that he is frequently asked at events "what are all these buttons for" - great question! By including curious minds, Chad will demonstrate the process, and participants will be able to try it on their own after they learn what the colourful buttons are meant to do.
This includes:
1. The Channels
2. Cross Fader
3. Effects
4. Cueing and more....
The workshop will include instructions to understand program music structure, energy and beat grids. Part 1 will begin with an introduction to different beats, timing(bpm) and phrasing. Part two will break down the effective use of cue points and a brief introduction to STEMS which is the ability to separate the vocals melody and bassline from a song. We will conclude with Part 3 which includes a demonstration of how a song flows from one song to the next while ensuring that the audience is engaged.
