Looking for a fun, free and engaging way to spend time with your family? Join us for a family-friendly tour of our current exhibition and take part in a fun art-making activity!

Our Family Days programming is graciously supported by Century Group.

Inspired by Landon Mackenzie: Weather Patterns, families will explore how weather and nature can spark imagination in abstract art. Looking closely at colour, texture and layered marks, we'll discover how artists translate wind, water and sky into expressive abstract paintings.

In the studio, families will explore paint, colour mixing, pattern and playful mark-making as they create their own abstract painting inspired by shifting weather and landscapes. Guided by an artist, this workshop invites all ages to get creative, experiment with layering and enjoy painting together.

Evergreen Cultural Centre Society operates a professional venue that offers arts and cultural services to the Tri-Cities area (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody). The core business is to provide performing arts, visual arts, arts education, temporary public art, and facility rentals that are representative of, and accessible to, the local community.

The centre houses a 257-seat, flexible black box theatre and a 1,500 square foot public art gallery. The Rehearsal Studio and several art studios provide an additional 5,000 square feet of space for Evergreen’s classes, workshops, and rentals while the glassed-in lobby offers a spectacular view of Lafarge Lake.

Explore contemporary artworks by professional artists working in all mediums at The Gallery at Evergreen Arts, a non-profit, public art gallery. Through our exhibitions and public programs, The Gallery provides opportunities for people to connect with artists and the creative process, championing the belief that art is integral to the fabric of daily life.
