À propos
Join Phoenix Chamber Choir for an open rehearsal, workshop, and virtual choir collaboration. This one hour zoom rehearsal will take you through an introduction to what is a virtual choir and how to run/participate in an online rehearsal, learning a piece of music with Phoenix Artistic Director, Nicholle Andrews, a short presentation on how to record yourself for a virtual choir, and some time for questions and answers.
Participants will learn to sing a new Phoenix Parody of the beloved Disney classic "Part of Your World", rewritten by our very own Nicholle Andrews, that brings to life the emotions we're all feeling as we enter this new era of making music mid pandemic:
"We want to be where the people are
We wanna to sing,
wanna sing together
We miss our friends in our
(Whad'ya call 'it?) oh - choir"
By the end of the hour you will be ready to record your own video for inclusion* in our virtual choir project!
The final project will be premiered at the first Phoenix concert of the season: "Gathering Together" on Saturday, October 24th, 2020. More information about that event is available at phoenixchoir.com/concerts
*This rehearsal and workshop is open to anyone, regardless of musical ability, however singers who would like to submit a video for inclusion in the final virtual choir project must have basic singing ability.
