À propos

Thousands of Chinese people had come to the West Coast to work on the railroad, or prospect for gold. By the late 1880’s, most small towns in BC had a China Town, with cafés, businesses, rooming houses, and yes … opium dens. After the flood in 1898, Mission moved to Main Street, north of the tracks, but China Town endured. Whispered Voices is a collection of historic photos and memories. Join this Zoom presentation with slides, discussion, and sharing memories and stories.
