À propos

In Chinese culture, a red lantern symbolizes life and prosperity. The use of Chinese lanterns dates back to the first century A.D. First used chiefly to provide light, later, they were used by monks to pay homage to Buddha. Today, lanterns are also used on important festivals such as the Lantern Festival, Chinese New Year and Chinese National Day in parks or along main streets.
