VCAC is pleased to present “Encouraging Ability in the Arts”, an annual exhibit featuring works from the Joining Hands Program.
Joining Hands is an art-based program providing adults with diverse abilities an encouraging environment to explore their artistic skills. We focus on the development of individual ability and confidence in the arts, helping to foster a sense of belonging in an inclusive community. Our program consists of over 50 participants, and 20+ support workers from more than 10 program affiliates. In nearly 20 years, we’ve worked with more than 300 diversely abled artists!
Join us in celebrating ability and diversity in the arts!
Exhibit Dates: September 13 to October 8, 2024
Monday to Thurs 9:00 am- 9:00 pm | Friday-Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm | Sunday 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

The Vernon Community Arts Centre (VCAC) offers art classes for all ages and abilities, allowing people to explore pottery, printmaking, painting, drawing, glass arts, fibre arts, digital arts, music and so much more.
