À propos

Visit Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre to view the Oakville Quilter's Guild exhibition, Presidents' Challenge 2024, in the corridor.

This exhibition consists of entries to this year's challenge, which requires the artists to create work using the following criteria:

- Use 1” of each fabric supplied

- The finished size of the artwork must measure 20” x 20”

- Have fun

The two co-presidents judged the entries, using seven criteria. This exhibition displays the excellent craftsmanship and talents of the quilters who created work for the competition.

The Guild “provides a place for quilters to find fellowship and opportunities for information sharing, as well as to provide a vehicle for developing workshops, sew and chats and personal development.”

Members include beginner quilters as well as internationally renowned artists. The Guild hosts challenges, blocks-of-the-moth and workshops, and also carries out charitable work such as outreaches and individual causes.

The Oakville Quilters’ Guild motivates fellow quilters to expand their love of quilting by offering inspiration. It also preserves the traditions and culture of quilting and quilt making by introducing this art form to the public.
