À propos
Techno Bunker
Presented by VERSA
Accessible entrance through Waterloo City Centre.
Techno Bunker explores the duality between rave and war. A techno soundtrack comprised of unsettling audio samples accompanies vivid flashing lights and projection to transform the subterranean site into a post-apocalyptic nightclub. You are invited to enter and engage in the ambience, and take shelter amidst the hypnotic beats. Once inside, the contrast between the Techno Bunker’s context of safety and exploration, compared with extreme instability and danger of a real war situation become stark, eliciting questions such as: How do we engage emotionally and physically with wars taking place on the other side of the world? Should we intervene? Do we appreciate our peace and freedom to the fullest? Viewer discretion, this installation will contain flashing lights.
