Access to the Silk Purse Art Studio - ground floor door located on the north side of the building, facing the mountains.

Join textile artist, painter, and photographer Mary Hay for a hands-on screen-printing workshop using Artmania’s curated stencil library. Learn techniques from Mary’s experience running a professional textile design studio, including colour theory and how to layer colours for dynamic prints. Bring your own T-shirt to print on; watercolour paper is provided.
*This is a family-friendly event. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent.
About the artist:
Mary Hay is a textile artist, painter, and photographer with a background in running a professional textile design studio. She is the founder and director of Artmania, which has delivered arts programming across the Lower Mainland for 24 years. Artmania partners with the West Van Cultural District to manage the Silk Purse Art Studio and provides extracurricular programs and artist residencies in local schools.
