À propos

Dr. Keriann McGoogan's Sisters of the Jungle transports readers to the far corners of the earth to understand our closest living primate relatives while shining a light on the fearless women, Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey, Birutė Galdikas and Alison Jolly, who overcame hardship, danger, and social convention to investigate our nearest primate relations in the wild.

Dr. McGoogan talks about her fascinating career as a primatologist, which has taken her to Belize and Madagascar to study endangered primates, and shares her process for writing engaging science that conveys passion and expertise while honouring the history of specialists in the field.

Presented in partnership with Douglas & McIntyre

Burlington Public Library

Explore – Discover – Learn! That’s what Burlington Public Library is all about.

The Library belongs to everyone in the community and is free to join if you live, work, or go to school in Burlington.

There are seven library branches citywide: six full-service branches (Aldershot, Alton, Brant Hills, Central, New Appleby, Tansley Woods) and a small lending collection in the rural hamlet of Kilbride. Library service began in Burlington in January 1872.

Central Branch is the largest location and houses historical and special collections, a community makerspace, and a computer lab.

We look forward to welcoming you to Burlington Public Library during Culture Days.
