À propos

The Village of Arthur is known as “Canada’s Most Patriotic Village”. They received this recognition in 2002, when David Tilson the M.P.P for Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey stated in the Ontario Legislature that because of Arthur’s extraordinary effort in World War II the community was being recognized as such.

Come visit the beautiful community of Arthur and while here take a self-guided tour of the many murals in our downtown: The Pioneer Mural at the south end commemorates the arrival of early European Settlers in the area and is painted on the wall of the former County Registry Office. The Jones Baseline Mural located at the corner of Charles and George depicts the baseline established by surveyor Augustus Jones in 1792. The Canada's Most Patriotic Village Mural is located at the north end of Arthur and across the road from the Freedom Isn't Free mural at the Arthur Cenotaph.
