À propos

Sausage Party is a participatory installation in front of Art Placement Gallery. A soft sculpture delicatessen will fill the window. On the street, folks will have an opportunity to assemble their own visually tasty treat to take home: a soft sculpture hot dog complete with a full assortment of topping options with a high probability of googly eyes!

Think food truck meets Build-a-Bear, all infused with a Xanadu roller-disco vibe.

Bratwurst is Alexa Hainsworth, Jasmin Fookes, and Levi Nicholat. They explore a lowbrow approach to art by mingling interdisciplinary practices with humour and reciprocity. All three completed MFAs at USask and now work in the arts in varied administrative roles. Bratwurst allows them to put their perspectives on the art world, as both artists and arts workers, to constructive use. Employing satire and parody, they explore the conventions, rituals, and hierarchies of the art world.

Organisateur

Nuit Blanche Saskatoon Contemporary Arts Festival Inc.

The Nuit Blanche festival is an art movement that is celebrated in cities across the globe, and arrived in Saskatoon in 2014, when the first Nuit Blanche Saskatoon was held in the Riversdale neighbourhood. Since then, NBYXE has expanded to become a city-wide festival celebrating our city’s vibrant arts scene every year in September.

NBYXE is a free night-time contemporary arts festival featuring projections, sculptural installations, performance, music, theatre, and other contemporary art forms that wow festival-goers late into the evening. This year's festival takes place on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 7pm-midnight in Broadway, Downtown and River Landing.

Nuit Blanche Saskatoon is run by a volunteer Board of Directors, with one paid curator and curator assistant. The funding is secured by writing grants and sponsorship. Nuit Blanche relies on partnering with businesses, BIDs and organizations to host programming. The majority of funding goes towards the artists, promotion and logistics to ensure a successful event.
