À propos
Enjoy a day of meaningful exploration of identity, objects, and place at PAMA in partnership with the Dreamland project.
Take part in a drop-in activity exploring place, culture, and identity through a special hands-on activity. Engage in creative design and thought-provoking reflection. Paint and decorate your own ceramic vessel then uncover the ways these objects can be keepers of memory and tradition for different cultures around the world. Continue this journey through a visit to PAMA’s exhibitions including Banquets and Belonging: Diasporic celebrations in the Greater Toronto Area and Stories of Home: Finding Community and Belonging in Peel.
About Dreamland:
Led by curator Hibah Mian, Dreamland explores people’s passage from one space to another – posing the question, is it possible to exist in two places at one time? The project showcases the work of artists from a variety of communities to explore this theme, including reflections of trauma, transformation, and place making.

PAMA is an accessible, safe space for the diverse communities of the Region of Peel (Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga) to come together and celebrate arts and culture. We strive to be a place where you can see yourself reflected and actively contribute to building a “Community for Life”.
It’s a place to explore and learn about Peel's culture and heritage, as well as use conversation, questions and stories to help make new and fascinating connections to the surrounding community. PAMA offers a variety of workshops and programs for all ages, families, and adults. There is something for everyone.
Our buildings are our largest artifacts. The site is made of historic buildings: the Peel County Courthouse and Jail, the former Registry Office, and the Modernist Building.
