Calling all DJs, selectors, and lovers of both MUSIC and LIGHTS — the booth is yours!

One Prime Ent. — a community-focused platform readily known for curating electronic music events and lively dance floors here locally — is opening up our decks at the Garrick Hotel Bar (located at 287 Garry Street; a 10-minute walk south of Old Market Square) for a night of fresh sounds and hidden gems — cued up by YOU! Come on down and help us stir up pep and elation alongside the GHB’s signature in-house lighting system that is scheduled to be in FULL operation. Might we say, it’ll be looking ever so SUPERBLY Nuit Blanche-esque!!!

Whether you are a seasoned jockey looking to UP your Nuit Blanche itinerary via some active participation or just itching to try your first set away from home, this is definitely your chance to play on some proper equipment with plenty (PLENTY) of space for a budding fan base!

EVENT DETAILS

Location: the Garrick Hotel Bar (287 Garry Street)

Set Times: Starting at 8:30 & Ending at 11:30pm (every 30 minutes)

- ONLY accepting in-person sign ups starting at 8:15pm; for any of the six (6) 30min slots (first-come, first-served)

Admission: FREE (until 11:15pm — then $ admission for a post-Nuit Blanche DJ event by OPS)

GEAR & SETUP

- We provide: 2x CDJ 2000NXS2s & Xone 92 Mixer

- Bring your own properly loaded/exported/formatted USB

- Headphones (Sennheiser HD25s) are available for use; BYO is highly encouraged!

TIME SLOTS FOR OPEN DECKS

- Sets are 30 minutes each (first-come, first-served based on sign-ups; signing up ONLY ON-SITE, beginning at 8:15 p.m.)

- You are more than welcome to email ([email protected]) or DM us on Instagram, asking questions and expressing interest in playing; we’ll have you in mind night-of : )

OTHER DETAILS

- 18+ Valid Photo ID Required; No Outside Food or Drinks; No Backpacks

- $5 Tequila Shots and $6 Pilsner Draft drink specials

- Any guests that arrive during the event can receive a stamp that makes them eligible for discounted admission to One Prime’s post-Nuit Blanche event (charging $ admission from 11:15 p.m. onward at the Garrick Hotel Bar)

This event is hosted by cultural and electronic music events curator, One Prime Spectacle Entertainment (@oneprime.ent). Now in its second year of hosting live DJ (decks-facilitated) events at underappreciated spots across Winnipeg, with the charm-filled Garrick Hotel Bar becoming their go-to establishment to partner with (see photos from past events). Helping facilitate the "come-up" of a new cohort of forward-thinking and passionate local DJs is also ever so intrinsically tied to their mission of building lively communities via physical spaces!
