Nuit Blanche at the Gimli Art Club: Rock, Paper, Sand!

Friday, September 26, 2025 | 6–9 PM | All Ages | Free

Celebrate Nuit Blanche in true lakeside style at the Gimli Art Club! Get creative with three fun, hands-on art activities inspired by the natural beauty of Lake Winnipeg. Life's a beach!

🎨 Sand & Pebble Art – Create a one-of-a-kind keepsake using sand and pebbles gathered right from the nearby shoreline. Arrange and glue your materials into a miniature masterpiece that captures the essence of the beach.

🪨 Rock Painting – Choose a smooth beach rock and bring it to life with paint! Try your own design or be inspired by samples on display. Take your creation home or leave it somewhere around town as a surprise for someone else to find.

👣 Feet on the Beach: "Why I Love the Beach" – Pick a colourful footprint cut-out and write a few words about why you love the beach. Your message will be proudly displayed outside the Gimli Art Club all weekend long.

All materials are provided, and all ages are welcome. Whether you're creating, reflecting, or just soaking in the lakeside vibe, join us for an unforgettable night of art under the stars.

Gimli Art Club

The mission of the Gimli Art Club is to foster and promote the spirit of art in the community through education and participation in community activities along with exhibiting art to the public.

As a teaching and mentoring club, we encourage the development and exploration of all art media, both traditional painting, sculpture and pottery as well as currently popular media and styles of art. In our weekly groups and occasional workshops. members are encouraged to fine tune their talents and try out new media.

The club takes part in many yearly events in the community by hosting groups, doing demos and planning and participating in events in fun activities for all ages.

The Gimli Art Club recognizes student achievement in art through an annual award presented to a student from the high school.
