The SPAO Centre Gallery is thrilled to present Intimate Textures of the Digital World featuring the work of Gatineau-based artist AM Dumouchel, Montreal-based artist Gilles Tarabiscuité and Vancouver-based Haida artist Jaad Kuujus (Meghann O’brien). The artists in the exhibition negotiate between digital and physical spaces, continually asking viewers to orient themselves between physicality and abstraction. The artworks capture a tactile and sensory subject matter, despite the mediation of the lens in two-dimensions. Viewers are encouraged to explore intimate conversations of metamorphosis, belonging and manual labour while also discovering their place between virtuality and reality.

This event is ongoing from September 3, 2021 to October 31, 2021 at SPAO gallery. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday 12pm-5pm.

Please be advised that there is a limit of 5 people in the gallery at a time, and all visitors must wear a mask at all times, maintain social distancing, and sign a contact tracing form as per SPAO's Covid-19 policy.
