Directions: Directions By TTC From Kipling Subway Station, board the West Mall 112 bus. Disembark at the intersection of West Mall Crescent and Dundas Street West. Enjoy a leisurely stroll north to Neilson Park Creative Centre’s parking lot entrance where you will see our building at the edge of Neilson Park. By Car Neilson Park Creative Centre is 0.5 kilometers south of Bloor Street West and Neilson Drive, west of The West Mall and Bloor.

Spend a weekend exploring the art of negative spaces and soft pastels. Be part of this mixed media workshop for seniors with Stephanie Schirm, an established Figurative Mixed Media artist with over 30 years of teaching experience. This is a free online event. NPCC will provide a materials list before the sessions.

Painting Negative Space

Participants will understand what negative space is, how to paint it; resulting in a mixed media abstracted garden image.
• Sunday, October 17, 2021
Painting with Oil Pastels
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Participants will learn how to use oil pastels in a painterly way; while creating a “Tom Thompson” style landscape.
