Live Vocal Performance – “Know Yourself”
Durreyl will begin the performance with a live rendition of her song “Know Yourself” (available on all streaming platforms). This piece speaks to self-awareness, empowerment, and authenticity. For this performance, she will be adjusting some of the original lyrics to emphasize positivity and inner strength, and to ensure it aligns with the tone of the event. She will also explain what the song means and allow the audience to learn the hook of the song so they can sing along.
Dance Performance – “Afro Water Flow”
This dance piece is inspired by the element of water—its flow and adaptability. It features fluid contemporary movement fused with Afro dance elements, representing the beauty of rhythm and resilience.
Audience Engagement:
She will briefly teach the audience a few simple Afro dance moves infused with contemporary. This interactive experience is meant to uplift the energy and allow everyone to move and embrace the freedom of expression and joy of dance. This performance is crafted to uplift, engage, and connect our diverse communities through voice and movement. She aims to offer a memorable and meaningful experience—one that invites the audience to reflect inward, celebrate outward, and most of all, feel included in the performance itself. Once complete, participants will record a final choreographed dance routine.
