Join Ottawa based and locally loved drag artist China Doll for a joyful and humorous community karaoke. Sign up to sing and be part of the fun, you are the star at this lively gathering with your neighbours!

This performance is part of artist Don Kwan's Heartbeat of the Valley Community Event. The event will celebrate diversity and spotlight the visual and performative power of the arts within rural communities.

China Doll is an Ottawa based artist, with tangible links to the Ottawa Valley. China Doll uses her “over the top” drag character to spread love, joy and laughter. She weaves humor into her everyday costumes and performances to broaden conversations about queer identity & culture.

Heartbeat of the Valley by Don Kwan is commissioned as part of Ontario Culture Days' Creatives in Residence series.

Ontario Culture Days

The Ontario Culture Days Festival is an annual celebration of arts, culture and heritage taking place each fall across the province. Each year, we work with organizers of all disciplines to produce this province-wide festival. Organizers host programs throughout Ontario and invite the public to participate for free.

Ontario Culture Days lives at the local level. We support organizers from the smallest hamlets to the largest cities, while coordinating with other national and provincial Culture Days partners. We support the success of our sector colleagues through resources and network development, while highlighting the breadth and heterogeneity of Ontario’s arts and culture to the wider public.
