Georgetown Pipeband

There has been a Georgetown Pipeband in town since the 1930s. Upon the breakout of WWII a couple of remaining pipers and drummers decided to start the Georgetown Girl's Pipeband. They taught many local girls and women, with the band's first preformance in 1942. The band changed back to being an all inclusive pipeband in the 1990s and was renamed the Georgetown Pipeband. We are proud to be continuing the band's tradition of teaching for the past 83 years.

The Georgetown Pipeband preforms and competes mostly in Ontario but has competed twice at the World Pipeband Championships in Scotland. The first time wining the "Best Overseas Pipeband" Trophy. We have also won the North American Pipeband Championship and Ontario Champion Supreme in Grade 4.

Please visit our website https://www.georgetownpipeband.ca if you are interested in hiring us or learning to play the bagpipes or drums.
