About

Artist Kanika Gupta will lead a card-making workshop inspired by her recent research into personal reflections of gratitude as an exercise for increasing well-being. Visitors will design greeting cards focusing on sentiments of thankfulness, and will be able to gift their creations to pay forward their positive feelings.

This program is open to everyone and requires no past art-making experience. Different materials will be provided to provide opportunities for experimentation.

This program is produced by Ontario Culture Days in partnership with Toronto Public Library.

Organizer

Kanika Gupta

Grounded in her lived experiences, Kanika Gupta uses art as her language to break invisible barriers and create a dialogue that generates greater compassion and understanding for those who find themselves on the fringes of “normalcy”. As a practicing artist with minimal professional training, Kanika finds working with the public to be immensely educational, creating a two-way flow of knowledge between herself and the participants. Kanika often incorporates these learnings into future programs and projects.
