Bill Laughland will be displaying his acrylic painting. Bill painted as a teenager and when he retired he returned to this pastime. He has been showing his work in the Binghamton NY area with great acolades. Bill is displaying at the Long Point School House where descendants of Daniel O’Connor and Bridget Trainor, pioneer settlers at Long Point (1830), south of Lyndhurst will be showing their artistic talents. The Long Point School (SS#5) was built in 1862 and has been rehabbed back to the way it was around 1900. It closed as a school in 1960 and reverted to ownership of the O’Connor family. It is currently owned by Denis and Margaret Brennan, Margaret is the gr gr granddaughter of Daniel O’Connor. All welcome to come and ring the School Bell. Gr gr grandson of Daniel O’Connor.
