About

For Culture Days, artist Jaene Castrillon plans to create a collaborative dreamcatcher workshop. Participants will be invited to weave their own goals and positive thoughts into a large dreamcatcher, while learning how to create their own personal dreamcatchers. The practice will be grounded in Jaene's belief in the importance of communities to support healing. Her way of life and teachings are largely influenced by Isaac Day of Serpent River First Nations, who is an Anishnaabe Elder and traditional teacher.

This program is produced by Ontario Culture Days in partnership with Toronto Public Library.
