This year's Culture Days Celebration will be held at two locations: The Spark Centre and the Public Library, from Friday, October 15th to Sunday, October 17th. Friday starts with the grand opening of the Credit Union Spark Centre, our brand new recreation and culture facility. With free guided facility tours and drop in programming, this is a great opportunity to check out all the facility has to offer. A live concert is being planned for that evening. In our new art gallery, make sure to check out the Permanent Collection; a cultural record of South East Saskatchewan. Saturday join us that the Spark Centre for a carnival of events. Outside, the Weyburn Arts Council invites you to help create of a large public art mural, which will later be installed in the downtown core. The Weyburn Crocus Quilter's guild will be demonstrating the many steps involved in creating a finished quilt. The Weyburn Woodcarvers will be hosting a carving event. Sunday afternoon, head to the Library for a discussion on Canadian origin stories centered around the exhibit, "A Rightful Place".
