Eight Community Partners working together with the City of Swift Current to host Culture Days CultureFest on September 23rd. This event is in partnership with the Swift Current Agriculture and Exhibition Association's Ranchmen’s and Riding and Reciting Event which celebrates the western way of life. The goal of this event is to gather the community in one location to celebrate and promote the variety of cultural opportunities within our city without physically having to go to a variety of locations. This event will be held in the Swift Current Stockade and feature a cultural stage with entertainment including Aboriginal storytelling, cowboy poetry, cultural dancing and performances. In addition, there are going to be Cultural Make It and Take It stations hosted by each of the following partners. Art Gallery of Swift Curren/ Chinook Library – Decorate Your Orange Shirt, Welcome Centre – Art Retreat with cultural art project Henna Tatoo, Cultural Festivals - Kite Building workshop, Swift Current Museum – Lock Box Challenge and Swift Current Ag & Ex- Blacksmithing
