About

Friday, September 20th - The Lemon Bucket Orkestra are Toronto's original Slavic-Balkan-Klezmer-Party-Punks. The multi-award-winning ensemble has been heralded as a groundbreaking, genre-bending phenomenon by media and fans alike, and over the past 14 years they have performed all over the world from WOMAD in England and New Zealand and Pohoda in Slovakia, to Festival D’Été in Québec City, and Luminato in Toronto. The Guardian proclaimed that their performances are "gorgeously sung and passionately played" and The New York Times declared them "charismatic...handsome and ambitious.”

Saturday September 21st - Rooty Naky and the Rootables is a music group with influences from reggae, neosoul, afrobeats and several other African musical genres. The group has been active since 2021 in the Ottawa-Gatineau region where they participate in several cultural events.

Their ability to sing in French English and other African languages means that language is not a barrier and almost everyone can relate. Clearly, the main message of Rooty Naky and the Rootables is: HUMANITY FIRST ❤️. That is to say that humanity in all its diversity and in all its uniqueness must be a priority for the human race. MORE LOVE!

Sunday, Sept 22nd: O'Stella: With sell-out shows in Ireland and Canada, and performing for Oscar-winner Glen Hansard, 0Stella's [oh-Stella] alt-rock Irish fusion is captivating audiences everywhere. This is rock and roll with traditional Irish fiddle and bodhrán (sometimes wrapped in thick distortion) and catchy pop melodies that shimmer with rebellion. 0Stella sings in both English and Irish and regularly engages the crowd to sing along in both languages - whether performing solo or with her 5-piece band. 0Stella's unique sound deftly combines Canadian rock with Irish storytelling and folk music and draws comparisons to Paramore, Garbage, Lana Del Rey and The Frames. The zero-waste advocate (thus the zero in her name) accumulated a staggering 8,500 kms of cycling in support of her two albums, Freefall (2022) and Skyward (2023), while advocating for environmental conservation. The cycling album tour took 0Stella across Canada and Europe. A full vinyl record, Pendulum State, is due out in 2025 on Dead Doll Records.

Organizer

Chantal Leblanc

I am the owner and artistic director of the Arts and Life Circle. It is a converted church in a little hamlet in the County of Lennox and Addington. I had the official opening of The venue last October, with an visual art opening that was part of Culture Days 2023. I show artists, and organize events to do with well-being and The Arts. I have had a spring series of live music concerts in the spring and am planning one for the fall-spring 2024.

I am an artist and a community builder. This is the 1st edition of the small world music festival in Roblin-15 min north of Napanee.
