About

These Waters is a show of artworks created to celebrate, describe, and connect to Lake Winnipeg. Eight Interlake artists will be represented at the show, free during Nuit Blanche. The immensity of Lake Winnipeg, the 10th largest freshwater lake in the world, is only matched by the inspiring breadth of interpretations that artists have taken to connect audiences to this great prairie ocean.

Several workshops, talks, and demos are planned in conjunction with the show (see separate events listings on this website).

On Nuit Blanche Saturday, Sept 28 artist Heather Dawson will give a short demonstration on how she creates underwater flora in her glass works, the first at 6:00 pm. Other artists will also be on hand to talk about their works created for These Waters and share the backstories to their inspiration. Plan 10-15 minutes total for this stop on Nuit Blanche.
