About

FOR KIDS AGE 7 to 11, (and who are able to read.)

YES YOU CAN! Adults love to sing and strum with their friends, but so do children. We meet Saturday mornings from 11 to 12 at Victoria Conservatory's Westhills Campus beside the Library, near STARLIGHT STADIUM, (the Large Pro Soccer arena).

While having fun, kids learn how to master each chord, and learn to play while singing. As each chord is mastered, new ones are presented, new strums, new songs and more. Picture your child singing the "Kookaburra" song, or "My Canoe", or even a Taylor Swift song while playing a ukulele! We also have some ukuleles for in-classroom use. As children play along they will discover many beneficial things. Students learn practical study skills that will carry over to other subjects. Songs may be in other languages too. Once your child has learned some lyrics in Spanish, Portuguese or perhaps French, they may be less shy to attempt to speak in foreign languages. This event could light a spark in your child's creativity. We will spend about 30 minutes giving a sample introductory lesson and then we'll be available to chat with parents and answer any questions you have.
