After last years Culture Days, musicians of all ages started crawling out of the woodwork all over Hornepayne.

And Royal Canadian Legion 194 - Hornepayne generously gave them a home. They are a hub for the community all year-round.

But they also knew that taking care of the community meant closing the doors for a while. Which means a loss of revenue, and heading into the colder weather, re-opening becomes more expensive in the Centre of Ontario. As musicians, we want to help. Community artists will be sharing the process of writing and recording songs for a fundraising playlist that we hope will help to keep the lights (and the heat!) on so that we have a place to eventually gather and make music together again.

Over the 4 week Culture Days period, artists, musicians and mentors from Hornepayne Community Arts and YOUThink will work online or outdoors in a socially distanced way (as allowable by up to date public health advice) with ANY COMMMUNITY MEMBER who wants to write and record a song of their own. We welcome the donation of any community recording to help us in our goal of supporting this important hub in the community!
