About

U R IN CTRL

By Carson Morrison

Centre for International Governance Innovation

DON’T PUSH THAT BUTTON!!! But no, actually, please do. Viewers are invited to manipulate glitchy, twitchy, flashy, and fun video synthesizer patches by taking command of the CTRL CONSOLE, a custom midi controller with obnoxiously large buttons just waiting to be slapped. Through a selection of various visual wonders, viewers can also be a part of the experience by moving and grooving on live video fed into the video synthesizer or video game based analog video mixing experiments. It’s whatever you want it to be! Either way, let’s have fun and let’s get weird.

Artist bio:

Carson Morrison is still figuring some things out but he’s having a lot of fun while he does it. Working primarily in video and projection art with an emphasis on interactivity, he embraces happy accidents and serendipitous discoveries as the most important parts of his creative process.
