About

How has public health in Mission changed over time? In the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, illness, wellness, and remedies have been forefront on our minds.

In Mission's recent history, community efforts have been foundational to expanding our public health services. From energetic fundraisers and events to dedicated health professionals and hospital improvements, the citizens of Mission have collaborated many times to meet their own needs.

This three-part video series highlights a curated selection of health and medicine artifacts to tell the history of Mission's public health initiatives.

Mission Museum

The Mission Museum exists for the purpose of preserving the history of Mission by way of the collection, preservation, documentation, research and interpretation of three-dimensional objects related to our community’s history, and making it available to the public through exhibits, events and public programming. Our collection consists of over 10,000 artifacts which have been donated to the Museum by businesses, organizations and individual members of the community. Throughout COVID-19, the Museum has collected artifacts that reflect the pandemic's impact on the community.
