About
Join us for a special rainbow storytime, fun crafts and activities with 2024 CBC Kids Reads winner Sylv Chiang as she reads her book "Still My Tessa", a gently affirming story of the connection between siblings, and learning to embrace non-binary identities, and be an effective ally at home and in our communities.
Have fun together in a safe and supportive environment for 2SLGBTQ+ children, families, and allies. This is a drop-in program.
Families Under the Rainbow, also known as Youth Under the Rainbow, is a 2-year project generously funded by a grant from the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation. This program seeks to support children and families' sense of belonging in the community. The goal is to help foster a safe and supportive environment for 2SLGBTQ+ children, their families, and their allies. This program is run in collaboration with several organizations including SPECTRUM, Waterloo Public Library, Region of Waterloo Public Libraries, Kitchener Public Library, Idea Exchange, and Artshine.
Families Under the Rainbow is a program presented in partnership with Spectrum Waterloo Region’s Rainbow Community Space.
