About
The Little Stone Schoolhouse was the first school and public building in Saskatoon. Built in 1887 and moved to the University of Saskatchewan campus in 1911, it still stands today as a unique historic site.
Now it's your chance to experience that history for yourself at the LSS Culture Days Open House! Guests will get to explore the historic schoolhouse, practice writing on slate boards, try out Victorian-era games, and create their own ball and cup craft to take home! We can't wait to see you there!

Organizer
Diefenbaker Canada Centre
Diefenbaker Canada Centre is a museum on the University of Saskatchewan campus. The DCC honours the legacy of the Right Honorable John G. Diefenbaker by enriching the civic and cultural knowledge of those who view our exhibits, partake in our educational programming, and engage with us at various community and centre events.
Throughout the year, the DCC holds educational programming in the Little Stone Schoolhouse where students gets to compare their own classrooms to the schoolhouse and get to go "back in time" and be taught by the strict schoolhouse teacher! The LSS is also open to the public for open houses on special dates throughout the year.
